Oahu has many amazing spots to learn how to surf. The world-famous North Shore is probably one of the best spots in Hawaii to learn how to catch your first wave. We offer a unique surfing experience suitable for first-time wave sliders.

Our professional surf instructors will explain the fundamentals of surfing, reading the surf zone, surfing etiquette, timing, and catching the wave, as well as the transition from paddling to standing.

We will fine-tune your lesson to meet your specific needs. To make it even easier for first-timers, a push from your instructor will help you catch your first Hawaiian wave!

Holten hosted a private surf lesson for my boyfriend and I this morning. We had a fantastic time. We were worried it would be lackluster because we had been sold some other tours and what not that left a lot to be desired. But we were very pleasantly surprised. Holten was knowledgeable and a good teacher and listener. He genuinely seemed to be having a good time himself and was very patient with us. I even considered maybe doing one more lesson before we left, but my other half was a bit apprehensive because he's not a strong swimmer. Anyhow, we were very happy and couldn't recommend them more. Do it!

We had booked private lessons as a couple from 8-9:30 a.m. With the warm morning sun, it was wonderful in the small bay at Haleiwa Beach Park. Not much going on and waves for beginners. Our teacher James was very friendly and gave us good instructions in the water, so that I was able to stand on the board all the way to the beach by the second wave. Feels great. Definitely suitable for beginners. Mahalo
