I'll be the first to admit that I was skeptical about sharing a meal with goats, but I decided to give it a go (Having three siblings, I developed elite food-guarding skills so my fears of ending up with an empty-stomach were somewhat abated, but still... Goats?) Then we got to this little farm that looked like it was supposed to be in a movie because it was so picturesque and well-maintained. The property (The Horse Lodge) unsurprisingly lodges horses (and provide a home for some bold little barn cats too!) When we sat down on the property in a green tree-filled park, and Mary Anne (the oldest goat) came over and rested her head on my lap, I was instantly smitten. The property owner Jan was friendly and knowledgeable, and she had obviously raised her goats very well. Food choices were limited - but that was ok because everything was top-notch delicious. I don't make it thru Kentucky as often as I'd like, but for anyone wanting to do something different that makes great memories, I'd highly recommend. My fiance and I will be going back next summer if plans work out. 9.5 out of 10 overall (I'd give it a 10/10 if they had even more goats! I'd like to see dozens next time)
