Along with 5 friends we visited Ketchikan, Alaska in July, 2016 and the few days we were there was unforgettable. Captain William who was all the time ready to help us in any way we needed made our trip excellent. Fishing for Halibut and King Salmon was a wonderful experience. We had the satisfaction of our dreams. The cabin we were staying made us enjoy all the pleasure of living in the wild nature. We're impatient to have our vacations this year too in Ketchikan. We hope that Captain William will find time in his busy schedule for us.

We were staying in Ketchikan for business for four weeks, and since we heard a lot about how great this town was for fishing, we decided to call several charter companies. Some never got back to us and some did not operate during the winter/off season. However, Alaska King Charter did respond to our inquiry in a timely manner and told us they operate during the off season, and we are so glad we found them. Our captain was very knowledgable about the fishing and fishing grounds around Ketchikan. After a few hours of deep sea fishing, we decided to try our luck with catching some salmon. And we definitely were the lucky ones! 3 hours into fishing we were able to pull out two nice looking Winter King Salmons! They are such a beautiful species with such a unique look, and taste! We cooked them up when we got back home in Ketchikan and froze some to bring back home so our families could enjoy them too. It was an excellent experienced, and we highly recommend these guys!

After a disappointing fishing trip with another fishing charter in town, we decided to try it out one more time with Alaska King Charter. The lady who booked us was very professional and helpful in answering all our questions, and the pricing was very reasonable. We meet our captain by the dock as was scheduled, and we had the pleasure of having his helpful little son as his deck man (he was full of energy and loved to help his dad!). Per our caption's suggestion, we tried for Halibut first, and to our success we pulled out five halibut out. We only kept two, as the other three were to big ( over the limit size allowed in Alaska). Then we tried for Salmon, which we could not keep up with! We kept on pulling the lines, one after another! It was an amazing experience. We were shocked as to how much fun you could have fishing all day, and we're so glad we tried booking another fishing trip. This was definitely worth it and I love how this company is local and family owned. We will definitely be back next year and we hope to bring along our friends to experience this amazing trip
