Total newbie, never surfed before, and I got a private lesson with Alex. He was top notch. You'll get all the time you need for a decent price. He was super patient and helped me figure out what I needed to do or not do using his four step process. I honestly did not think I would be able to catch a wave all on my own, and sure enough by the end of the two hours I did!!! We worked our way up to it....like a parent using training wheels to teach their kid to bike, and then they let go! Super fun time with really nice and smart instructor!!!

I really recommend Golden Wave Surf School ! I did the group lesson as well as the private lesson, both were great ! Super nice instructors and they are really accommodating !

I reserved a private surf lesson with Alex and learned so much - I'm an advanced beginner/intermediate surfer and I took away a ton of insights from the two hours I spent with Alex. Additionally, he took video and still photos of my surfing that he shared with me, so I can see what I'm doing and what I need to improve. He's a great instructor. Totally, completely worth it. Thanks so much Alex!
