I thought a 2 day train ride might be boring but it was constantly engaging in the changing scenery! About 380 miles and we took hundreds of photos. Large windows, comfy seats and great food cooked onboard. The crew was all great, Teresa, Tristan and Norah had interesting comments and outstanding service. I have a bad back and knees so I cannot do hikes, the Train was the perfect way to see the wild wild west!

We had a great time on the Rocky Mountaineer! We especially liked the onboard experience with the hosts, who were very knowledgeable. The views were also amazing and we had a very relaxing journey.

I want to underscore what a great train trip this was!! Every facet was wonderful from the comfortable seats, to the highly capable friendly staff, to the delicious meals, to the plentiful beverage service, alcoholic & not, to the gorgeous scenery through the mountains where the staff would explain what we were passing. The train ride itself was extremely smooth and quiet. There was also a viewing car and a club car where you could go between meals. We stayed overnight one night in a hotel and the train staff handled our luggage to and from our room. We had an interesting tour given by a local in Glenwood Springs which we really enjoyed. At the end of the trip in Moab, we joined a tour sponsored by the train company where we toured The Arches National Park. So informative and amazing. If you get a chance to take this train, don't hesitate!!
