The guides were absolutely fantastic in making us feel comfortable while experiencing an uniquely beautiful part of the Rogue river. They were knowledgeable about the river, the ecosystem and the geology, answering many questions from both the 8 and 80 year old in my family. In addition, every cooked meal we had was very well prepared. Even the very picky kids loved the food!
Indigo Creek was great at answering questions from pre-reservation until we said goodbye at the end. They worked with us to address difficult food allergy and mobility issues so that everyone could participate in the trip.
That said, this is a real wilderness experience and many things are beyond anyone's control. One child was stung by a wasp in her tent (she was fine). Sleeping on rocky ground with a pad can be uncomfortable and the river can be dangerous to the foolhardy. If you understand that, you will have an unforgettable experience!
