Beautiful place to visit, do not go over Valentines Day weekend though. There is a really big teachers convention that time every year and it adds 60,000 people to the already over crowded areas of San Antonio. The weather was beautiful, temps in the 60's. The crowd on Sat. night for the boat tour was enormous. We got there at just the right time, when our tour was over the line stretched beyond where you could see. The tour was informative and fun. Our driver was funny and I think he loves his job from the way her works the crowd. We had a great time, but get down town early because parking is at a premium. You simply have to walk, and walk if you want to see anything at all. We were tired from an already long day at LBJ's ranch in Johnson city, so we took the boat ride and went back to our hotel to eat dinner. It wasn't worth the lines and long wait times at all the popular restaurants to try and eat at the River Walk. If we go back we will go during the week and much earlier in the day. Be prepared for crazy drivers!! Texas seems to have no speed limits, something others already know but I did not. They drive like their house is on fire and they racing to it!! LOL...I had gotten used to it by the time we left though. Visit Waco and the magnolia Store before you leave Texas. It is well worth the time. Well put together shopping experience, great bakery too!! Beautifully landscaped, food trucks, restrooms, picnic tables. Very nice place to visit.
