A terrific way to see and receive information about most of the best sights in San Diego. It 's a fun experience. Our trolley captain, Vinnie, kept us fully informed about each local area and the key stop locations, along with a variety of unique insights, history, and a great deal of humor. This was our second trip, took one two years ago. Both times well worth it.

We had a great driver, Jack, on the first day. He was pretty funny. The other guides were using the canned speeches from the company. There are a number of stops and you can hop on and off, but they only run in one direction. It takes about two hours to complete the loop, so plan your stops in the right order. We took the whole tour the first day, then walked back to the areas we could reach by foot. I could have stayed much longer in Coronado and in Balboa Park, but the last pickup time for the trolley was early. For the most part, the stops are designed for tourists, some more interesting than others. Do your research, and you can have freedom without having to rent a car.

Fun...there were 7 of us for the day. We got a gold pass which includes the train museum and Whaley house day tour. We got there in time for the first 9am tour. Free parking right across the street. Easy QR code to scan. Great shops and stops. We came on a Saturday so, there were many street fairs happening at Old town, Balboa Park, and little Italy. It was great. Absolutely, recommend. The tour operators are very knowledgeable and funny. Make sure to tip them if you enjoyed their tales. You may not see them again. We took lots of pictures and videos inside the Whaley house. We have orbs in some and odd things...like the lady in the photo smiling then not smiling in the next photo. Or photo was ruined by static throughout. Spooky...lol
