My wife and I and our adult daughter were in San Diego for several days and decided that using the 'Hop-On Hop-Off' Trolley was an excellent way for us to get a look at the area and also have the ability to get on and off and sample the area along with way. And this met our expectations to a T. Be forewarned that it takes about 2 hours for a complete circuit! Other than the time element, we really had a blast. Spent 30 minutes or so in 'Little Italy' and then hopped back on and went to the Maritime Museum and spent an hour or so there. Then back on and finished up back at our hotel. So much to see and so little time! We could have spent a week in San Diego!

Fabulous day out in san diego. The tour guides made it fun , packed with lots of information about the area. The only downside is you have to get the last bus back quite early so decide where you want to stop off in advance. We went to Bilbao park and old town. Loved old town with it's shops and restaurants based around the saloons and sheriff's office. On the tour bus the guides were friendly and the added touches of the music and interaction were great.

Love the Hop-on Hop-off Tours. Drivers were interesting & informative. Much better than having to drive to destinations you want to see anyway and having to pay for parking each time. Also allows the flexibility of staying as long as you want wherever you want. Pickup times are punctual and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a trolley. There was one place that had too many boarding for the seats that were available. Driver called for another trolley & said it would be 10 minutes for another one to arrive. Just wish I had learned about the free parking & location of this before I paid to park in a public parking lot.
