Got off the plane, wanted to see the sites before heading to our hotel. Nice tour.... first driver tried too hard, his delivery came off a bit lame. He knew his stuff, just wasn't our cup of tea. We hopped off at Attitude Brewery ( Awesome).... . Second driver was much better. It was valuable for us to do, I would say to the company that their drivers who try too hard for the lame jokes are not as funny as they think. I get it, gotta be more than just the driver/ guide.

Nice route and a great way to get around the city; Evette was a wonderful guide and we appreciated her insight into a city she clearly loves very much. Captain Bob, however, was enough to make us end our tour early; I didn't realize it was possible to patronize an entire bus full of people at once. He was clearly helpful and engaged, but the way he referred to women when taking us by the the old airplane manufacturing warehouse and the Marine training base made it sound like he thought two X chromosomes makes one a different species. Painful and grating. So, great tour: but if you get Bob, wait for the next one

I enjoy this when I bring new people to the area. It can be very crowded though so be aware. We caught the 1st one available in the Gaslamp Quarter and there were only about 6 seats available. Seems most people started at Old Town. I always recommend staying for 1 full loop & then doing stops at places you want to see as it does get crowded. Pay attention to last pick up times. Different drivers change the ambiance - some goofy with funny stories - others remind you of being in school. Always learn something new.
