Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

This experience far exceeded my expectations even though we didn't see whales. The boat was the perfect size and not overly crowded. We saw three different species of dolphins, sea lions, all kinds of sea birds. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Very friendly staff from ticketing to all onboard, including a staff Marine Biologist. Priority boarding available. saw a number of whales and many dolphins, withe the Marine Biologist narrating throughout on informative and interesting facts. Beverage service available onboard. Highly Recommended.

Although off-season we heard some folks saying they saw whales on a recent tour. We booked for a 10am departure on the 2.5-3.0 hr tour. The Boat we were on would hold around 100 people, I think there were 60ish people on our outing. Water was calm, we saw sea lions and dolphins on the way out to open water, about an 1hr and 20 min in we saw a blow spout., as we got closer we saw a humpback whale breach and then a tail flip, about 15 min later another, this continued for about 45 min with several breaches and tail flips surrounded by “dozens” of dolphin. The Captain and First Mate kept Everyone informed and added interesting commentary. We had great time and was able to check a box on our bucket list. Reasonable price. As with any ocean adventure, you pay for the boat ride and you might see something.
