You’ll have plenty of opportunity to kick-back and take in all that Glenwood Canyon has to offer. Hop out and do some swimming or even dip your toes in the hot springs that make their way into the Colorado River as you approach Glenwood Springs.

Defiance Rafting

Your experience starts by meeting at the Defiance boathouse in Glenwood Springs. There, we will gear you up, talk about the trip, and introduce you to your river pro. Then we'll shuttle up Glenwood Canyon to Grizzly Creek where we will put-in on the Colorado River. You'll begin your scenic float right away as we navigate down the lower half of Glenwood Canyon. There will be occasional splashes and opportunities to jump in the water through lower Glenwood Canyon and into the community of Glenwood Springs. • Class I–II • Trip Length: 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours (dependent on river flow) • Departs daily @ 9:00 am; 1:00 pm; and 4:00 pm • Check-In is 45 minutes prior to departure • Requirements: Paddlers must weigh at least 30lbs.

We had a great time with the whole family (10 to 80 years old), a few small rapids just to get a taste of rafting and beautiful scenery. Colin was a great guide and made the trip a good time for all.

This was our first time out and our guide, Brad, made it incredibly fun. He knew how to make it an exhilarating time while still being personable and a jokester the whole time. We spent a week in Beaver Creek and can guarantee those two hours on the water is what will definitely be remembered. Thanks for making great family memories. AND KUDOS TO BRAD!

First of all, the staff at Defiance are the kind of people that make you feel like you are a part of the family. They are kind, fun, down-to-earth and superb at what they do. My hubby was pretty nervous about us rafting as the river was high and moving fast. I'm not the strongest swimmer and was nervous as well but our guide and the entire team were just fantastic! When I come back to Glenwood Springs I think I'm ready to attempt some class 3 adventures with this company. Shout out to our guide Jesse who still owes me some Dairy Queen😁
