We booked a private raft trip for our family of five with kids ages 8, 12, 14. We definitely got wet and had fun with our guide Morgan. The two hours went quickly! We saw bald eagle and osprey in the trees. The water is high this year and makes for a great ride. WWR has water shoes, splash jackets and wet suits if needed. The van or bus ride to the put in is just a couple of minutes there and 15 minutes on the return.

Our family had an awesome time floating down the Yellowstone River with Boon. He was knowledgeable and an expert rafter! He kept us safe and dry which is probably one of the more difficult tasks in the Yellowstone. Our 4 yr old was super comfortable and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with young kids.

I feel bad giving the place one star because we also did one hour of horse back riding which was fantastic. Our drive from our hotel took 3 hours because of traffic through the yellowstone so we arrived a few minutes late for the horse back riding part. The guides were so helpful in explaining everything. It was a first for my kids so they were excited. The view was beautiful. Then we headed back to town for our 2 hour scenic float. It started at 4 so we arrived by 330 and got wet shoes and life jackets on. They drove us down to the river and we started pretty much on time. ..4pm. It was a nice ride and was supposed to be the highlight of our vacation. Our family had never been rafting before either. Before we knew it our guide was pulling up to the side and our ride was done. Not having a watch or my phone I commented about how fast 2 hours went. The van driver kind of said the river was flowing fast. I asked the guide if the river got rough up ahead and he said no that there were 6 more miles of smooth rafting. You can imagine my surprise when we got in the van and the time was 4:55. What? ? Our 2 hour flat trip lasted not even an hour. Since this was the highlight of our vacation you can imagine our disappointment. This was supposed to be the one special thing we got to do. Needless to say I'm calling the manager to find out what happened. Make sure you ask if the 2 hour float trip is really less than hour. Than you can decide if it's worth the money. For us, it was a huge let down.

The water has been at a near record level this year and is flowing faster, however typically this time of year the trip does take two hours and we apologize that it was on the shorter end.
