PADDLING SANTA BARBARA'S 'AMERICAN RIVIERA'

Sandwiched between rugged coastal mountains and south-facing beaches, Santa Barbara is often called the American Riviera.  The dramatic geography and warm Mediterranean climate are best appreciated on the ocean, by kayak.  This guided kayak tour of the Santa Barbara Harbor and waterfront area is a wonderful experience for the whole family.  From sea lions and sea stars to pelicans, egrets, and herons, our coastline has an abundance of beautiful creatures to admire.  If you're lucky you could paddle with a family of dolphins or wave to grey whales passing by on their yearly migration pattern.  This is the perfect activity if you are visiting Santa Barbara and looking for unique things to do with your friends or family.

Our guide (Daphne) was super chill and had lots of fun facts and anecdotes. Our two hours on the water were really fun. And she handled our large and age-diverse (little kids, teens, and older folx like us) group really well. Loved the pics she took of us and was able to airdrop right after the tour. Being somewhat experienced kayakers, we def could have just rented some boats and gone out by ourselves but having never been to Santa Barbara before, the history and ecology knowledge was nice to have this first time out.

Favorite thing we did! So glad we booked this two hour kayaking trip ... husband and I were on our first wedding anniversary trip to SB and wanted something fun but that wouldn't take our entire day (fancy dinner and all). We had such a great time! Learned a lot about Santa Barbara, saw sea birds and seals and sea lions ... had a blast. Next time we come to Santa Barbara will try another of their tours. Definitely recommend!
