My wife and I chose the self-guided option and we loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful when we checked in and got our gear. We had no problem getting to the beach following their instructions. With the self-guide option, you get to use the gear all day long and they give you whatever you need and a lunch voucher. We paddled out to the flat island, paddled back to the beach for lunch, then paddled to Lanikai. On the way to Lanikai, we saw a couple turtles that came to the surface for air. They have bikes and other stuff that you can use after you're done paddling, but we opted not to do that. Would Recommend.

When the ocean was too windy for kayaking, Ka‘elepulu Pond was the perfect backup, offering calm waters and a relaxing paddle. It was a great way to explore the area, passing by beautiful homes and the lush greenery of the golf course. The peaceful atmosphere made for a unique and enjoyable experience, proving to be a fantastic alternative to the rough ocean conditions.
