If you like sex and the city worth doing. The places taken on the tour feel like a bit of a scam. Especially Aidan’s bar where you are sold cosmos are $10. They are pre-made, weak and bar tender unfriendly.

My mom and I are big Sex and the City fans so we took this tour together. We bought the priority boarding but honestly I wouldn't buy it again. The only benefit was the first to board the bus at the beginning so a seat at the front and then the first off at the stops (which made absolutely no difference). So I wouldn't suggest doing priority. The tour was interesting. Lots of interesting facts about the show and it showed clips the whole way which made the locations more relatable. Some of the spots were a little hard to see from the bus and we passed them before you could find them. Our guide was Lou (she would get 5 stars if I was just ranking her!) and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole tour. The tour stops at some of the major spots and you get the chance to have a cosmo at the bar that was Scouts. It was $10 so not too unreasonable. There were a couple I thought could've been cut out or shorter...I didn't particularly enjoy the sex toy shop (although I understand why it would be a good one for the tour theme I didn't love it as a stop). I would've rather stopped at one of the parks instead. We got a little booklet with tons of discounts around locations so that was cool. My biggest reason for the 4 stars vs. 5 was our driver. I want to start by saying I believe he was a new driver for the tour based on the fact that Lou kept giving him directions. That's okay, everyone has to learn...I don't however, think that that's an excuse for bad/dangerous driving of the bus. He drove up on some curbs, cut some turns short, and came dangerously close to hitting a LOT of cars. I've ridden on some other busses and cars in NYC and I realize they cut it closer than we do in other states a lot, but this was a lot worse and I can't believe there wasn't an accident at some point. There was one point I looked out my window and the edge of the bus was literally 1-2 inches from scraping a parked mail truck. It made me very uncomfortable all day. I feel like the driver should be more comfortable with driving buses before leading tours even if he doesn't know the route. The tour as a whole was very enjoyable and interesting and I hope to be able to take some more tours with the company in the future!

I cant recall our guide's name anymore, but she was fun and we felt so welcome on this tour. Even if I'm not an actual fan of the show (I've seen it though!), the tour was a great way to see parts of New York. My friend is a big fan and I could tell she was so excited and happy to take part on this tour. We absolutely loved all of the stops and we had plenty of time at each one, also time for shopping and drinks! I'd recommend On Location Tours to anyone, totally worth the cost and a great way to see New York.
