A couple weeks ago, I bought admissions for 1-day of Knott’s Merry Farm. I did it solo. I’m less than an hour away. Knott’s Berry Farm was a complete amusement park. It’s a nice place and old-fashioned, which I thought was a good thing until I had to recharge my smartphone. The wifi was half-arsed. I found a spot. I was busted and asked to unplug my phone before the power popped somewhere. I was freaked. I still am. I didn’t ride anything. I walked, browsed, shopped and ate. They had several signs advertising pickles. I craved it, but the concession stands were closed. Half the park was closed like rides, concession stands and/or restaurants. I ate a boysenberries tart with black coffee, 2 turkey balls with cranberry walnut roasted brusselsprouts & wine, and finally a pretzel with nacho cheese sauce (because they didn’t have mustard). People don’t eat big pretzels alone or they’d choke. I was forced to get cheese sauce. Pickle and ice cream was the only other option. Well, that nacho sauce was a bad idea. It put me into ketosis. It was 6pm an I can do still plenty more and drive home… Wrong thing to do. Plenty holiday music blaring, but nothing new just the oldies and live music. I decided to get a room (Priceline app), salad (Mrs K’s Chicken Dinner) and sleep. Mrs. K’s at Knott’s Berry was fully booked to reservations. No salads besides coleslaw for fry chicken dinners, but there was a to-go shop to the restaurant. They had a bbq stand with baked potatoes and boiled corn, but the wait to order was over 30-minutes. The music started to get annoying with these ketosis pangs going off. I left 2-hours before they closed for a hotel down the road. It had a few drunks sleeping in their cars in parking lot. It was like took a trip to a European Christmas Market. I met some good people in the process too.
