The visit to the Antelope X was incredible - however, there were a few things that kept the entire experience from a 5 star review. First, we reserved a tour for Upper Antelope Canyon, and discovered the day before the tour that we had been switched to Antelope X (was told it was because Upper Antelope was an extremely popular tour - which is why we booked it months ahead...) When I expressed disappointment that we were not getting what we originally booked and paid for, the woman from the tour company said that I could cancel and they would refund our money. Seeing that members of our family were arriving from San Francisco and Seattle for this tour, that really was not a good option. We were a group of 5, and when picked up in Flagstaff the only seats available in the van were in the back as 6 people were already onboard starting in Sedona. The van suspension was horrible, and we were bounced around to the point that the seatbelt was still not enough support to keep us from being lifted completely off the seat. Now for the good/great part of the trip. Our Navajo guide once we arrived at Antelope X was incredible!! Her name was Arlinda, and not only was she so knowledgeable and informative, but she had a great personality and was a joy to be around. She helped us in getting great photos with instructions for our phones. The canyon itself was a work of art that nature provided. We will book another trip to the slot canyons with another company - and this next time will hopefully make it to Upper Antelope Canyon which is what we wanted in the first place. The stars awarded to this review were completely for Arlinda, our Navajo guide, and the beauty of the slot canyon.
