We've created a fascinating kayak tour in St Pete, centered on our Crystal Clear kayaks, giving you a fascinating look at the sea life throughout Shell Key preserve, and Fort Desoto park. Our professional guides provide an interesting narration of the local wildlife and ecosystem. The tours can range from 2 persons to 16 people, and are approximately 2 to 2 -1/2 hours long. The tours will primarily operate in the protected waters and mangroves tunnels of the Shell Key Wildlife Preserve in Pinellas County. An 1,800 acre preserve, these waters are well traveled by Dolphins, Manatees, Rays, as well as a variety of shore birds, including pelicans, egrets, herons, cormorants, osprey, and sometimes roseate spoonbills.

Please note: This activity is NOT suitable for the Elderly or the Obese, or people with back surgeries/issues, or with a history of other physical ailments. You must be physically fit for participate in this activity.

Rayna was AMAZING! You could feel the positivity and joy coming from her! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the mangroves and its wildlife. My cousins and I were amazed by how much she could tell us about every little thing we saw and pointed out to her. My only regret was picking the clear kayaks. They are not shaped like a normal kayak which made it much more difficult to maneuver. My kayak kept veering off to the right trying to make it to the island. It got frustrating at some points but Rayna reminded me to stay positive and enjoy the moment! She was right and my trip was amazing from there on out. I made it a mission to stay behind her after we left the island so I wouldn’t get left behind again. Woke up very sore the next day but that was to be expected. Overall, experience was great but do not recommend the clear kayaks!

Guide was friendly, respectful of everyone’s capabilities and managed our time well. Weather was warm and overcast which was parrfect as direct sun at 130 would have been tough so keep that in mind when booking your time. Was exactly what we were looking for a short quick paddling trip. Mangroves are a nice touch make the trip going to the beach fun. I think anything more than 2 hrs would have been too long and boring. I think it was just right! Thanks Island Ferry for a nice afternoon.

We had a great time, tour guide “Taylor “was amazing and very informative about the area and wildlife…. The only thing I would change for the next visit would be to get a regular kayak instead of the clear bottom kayak… too wide and hard to control onto the wind and mangroves trails.
