The 5-star rated small-group Colorado River kayak & Emerald tour is operated less than 1-hour self-drive from the Las Vegas Strip. Departing at 7, 9 & 10 am & 12.30 pm. This 4-mile tour along Black Canyon is suitable for all skill levels/ages and will be at a relaxed pace with no more than 12 people in your group. On your trip, you’ll see caves, stunning scenery and you may even spot big horn sheep or an eagle. We have the most experienced guides on the river that will keep you safe and entertained throughout the trip with historic facts. With stops to rest/swim and we provide snacks. Be sure to bring your camera for memories that will last a lifetime! This company is Veteran owned & operated and only use USA-made Kayaks. We guarantee it will be the best thing that you do whilst in Las Vegas! Note: Tandem kayaks available for small children & disabled Veterans. Please note - the 7am departure requires a minimum of 4 passengers to book **

What a beautiful area for a half day kayak trip. The scenery was beautiful and the water was a crystal clear greenish blue. We left early enough to avoid most of the heat, but with a canyon breeze it made it very enjoyable. Brett was a great guide and was very concerned with our experience when we waited 45 minutes for 6 no shows. We didn't mind the two on one VIP experience and considered ourselves very lucky. His historical knowledge of the area and the wildlife it held made it that much more fun. Looking forward to doing the upper river next time. With this being an hour from Vegas, if you're traveling that distance, we strongly encourage you to plan on being 30 minutes early to allow for any unforeseen setbacks.

Thank you for your Kind review and your patience. Sometimes in the bright lights of Las Vegas People get carried away and oversleep. I was able to fit 2 of the missing in the next day. Brett @ Veteran Kayaks

This was an absolutely seamless experience. The smaller group size, efficiency and Brett's knowledge about the history and wildlife made for an unforgettable trip. We were halfway through our tour before the large 25-30 person groups started heading our way and blocking the river/beaches. We saw Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles, Hawks , Heron and more on our trip, all through crystal clear waters. The beach breaks for included snacks and drinks were an added bonus and a chance to meet fellow traveler's. Pictures don't do the area justice and you cannot find a better company and guide to experience it then with Veteran Kayaks. Brett went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and it was an epic tour!

Come see a beautiful part of the southwest up close and personal! Just a short drive from the bright lights and the hustle and bustle of Vegas, Veteran Kayaks provides an in-depth river experience unlike any other. Brett leads the tour with plenty of laughs, fascinating insight, and good natured conversation. The morning start and a low pressure, fun environment allows for a comfortable experience on the water for seasoned and beginner kayakers, alike. Brett is more than willing to take photos as well as hand out snacks and water when need be. Overall a great experience. Two thumbs up.
