It was a good tour, but for $90 it should have covered tasting fees at both wineries. Jerry was a great tour guide. Only problem was Darla calling being very rude and condescending telling the bus couldn’t pick me up at my hotel and that I needed to walk for miles in a bad part of town. She lied.
We had a blast! I had no idea that the ride out of San Francisco would also be a tour. Our driver Stephen was extremely knowledgeable about all places to eat, places that are must sees, famous movie locations, etc. The first winery we arrived at in Sonoma was beautiful. It was exactly like I had imagined wine country would be like. Our second stop was a smaller winery but the tasting was more private and intimate. I would definitely book again and I would also request Stephen again as my driver.
Small bus was comfortable and roomie. The guide was exceptional and provided a lot of information about the area, it's history and the grape growing/wine making process. He was very friendly and helpful. The first winery was a small family run operation but this made it more intimate and our small group was given a lot of attention. The lunch spot in Somona was fantastic, a deli with lots of options and a gift shop attached. The second winery was larger but still not super crowded. There was a gift shop, plus it produced it's own olive oil and olive oil products and it had a great look out tower with exceptional views. Overall an excellent day and I would highly recommend this tour.
