My wife and I wanted to do something fun (that was outside in the fresh air) for Valentine’s Day. So, we gave Scott Bull at Sustainable Wine Tours a call. Needless to say, we waited until the day prior to Valentine’s Day to make the call but Scott was able to work us into his Shared Wine Tour schedule.
Just like our previous wine tasting outing with Sustainable Wine Tours, Scott greeted my wife and I (right on time) at our designated pick-up location. Because it was Valentine’s Day, Scott presented each of the lovely ladies on this day’s tour with a long stem red rose AND he bought along a bottle of Champagne such that we all had a toast as we zipped along the country side to our first behind the scenes tasting.
As I mentioned earlier, this was the second time that my wife and I booked a wine tasting with Sustainable Wine Tours and we were just as impressed with this outing as we were with the initial tour.
Scott did an outstanding job of narrating the tour and keeping us informed of what we were viewing as we drove through the countryside. Scott supplied the group with an awesome charcuterie plate that paired very well with the wines we tasted. Finally, he supplied each of us with a delicious, freshly made lunch sandwich of our selection along with a side of chips and bottled water.
On this tour we had the opportunity to experience one behind the scenes wine making/bottling establishment and two very exclusive vineyards (these were two different locations from the vineyards we visited on our initial wine tour). We even managed to squeeze in a quick stop for an olive oil tasting!
I know my review is a bit long but it was worth letting you know that we were as impressed with our second outing with Sustainable Wine Tours as we were the first time. Yep, we will strongly consider doing it again in the future!
