Our small group experience takes place in a big boat atmosphere! A maximum of 20 guests onboard allows our captain and crew the chance to focus on providing each guest with the very best experience. Our boat is really what sets us apart from other companies- we have a fast, fun and extremely comfortable boat where everyone has a cushioned seat, large open platform for viewing the whales and fast, quiet engines to help us maximize our time with the whales during your tour. Knowledgeable captains and crew who have worked among the whales for years will share whale facts and answer your questions. It's a great photo opportunity and most people who do it come back for more!

We absolutely loved this excursion. Kevin brought us right up to whales and Gina was so knowledgeable about the whales. We heard a whale sing and saw 4 different whales. My husband and I loved the boat. It was fast and gave us a good ride with a small group of people. Perfect experience.

Went out this morning and had a fantastic time! Do yourself a favor and book with this company! Smaller boat, stable, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and comfortable. But still exciting and saw a lot of whales! Every seat is the best seat:) Next time we come from Alaska we will definitely be back. Sean and Kathy Ensign Eagle River, Alaska

We had only around 14 people on board and, even though it was early in the season, we saw a bunch of whales. What made the experience especially great was the people at Makai Adventures, from the person you check in with to the crew on the boat all went above and beyond to make the experience great. Much more personal than the big boats.
