This is an excellent tour if you are in San Francisco. There is a lot of time travelling to the park but it is thoroughly worth while. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of the young man from Wyoming who was our driver and tour guide. The views at Yosemite make for some great photos and memories.
Yosemite for even only one day is worth doing. It's something you will remember forever. The trip was good and the tour guide pretty nice and knowledgeable. Just be aware, this is not a luxury bus. It's a small bus with small seats and no extras. No cupholders, no phone chargers, and no tv screens. Charge up your phones, bring snacks, and don't forget your camera because the views are incredible.
For this tour we had Eric. He was a safe and attentive driver but that is all we got from him. It was a lot of driving, about 9-10 hrs and my husband was very satisfied with Eric. He felt that Eric had a difficult enough task driving us to and from Yosemite. I would have liked some commentary about the places we were going through and about Yosemite but we didn't get anything. For part of the way the audio system was not working but even when it came back Eric didn't say much. Like I said, my husband was fine with that as he felt that Eric should concentrate on his driving.
Yosemite should not be visited in a day. It is vast and you need to get off the beaten path to enjoy it.We went on a Friday and it was hot, crowded and noisy.. It would have been great to get off the beaten path or to be there after the tour buses left but that was not possible for us. If all you have is a day then I would recommend this tour. We had 3 hrs to walk around on our own but the paths are confusing and we did not want to be late for the bus so we kept on the beaten path. If you wish to make more of your stay there then plan ahead what trails and paths you want to take.
