It was a nice tour. Jon, our tour guide was knowledgeable and had the “tour guide” voice down. I will say at many points he was rather condescending. He said himself “if at any point you think I’m a control freak, remember it takes one to know one.”
We had a few on our tour that clearly didn’t speak English well and he continued to tell them to get out of the sidewalk, fair. However, it was clear they didn’t fully understand him. I kept giving them hand gestures and they would come closer. He, on the other hand, likened them to kindergartners that wouldn’t listen. They even got lost or left our tour, not really sure but he didn’t care. In fact, said he was happy they were gone bc we were more obedient. All that to say, if there is any language barrier, this is probably not the tour for you, as there will not be much patience.
We really did enjoy the tour just wish our tour guide was a little more friendly. Someone that was stopped at a red light on a moped overheard him giving us the tour and thought to tell him a cool fact about someone that lived in the apartment and he could not have seemed more annoyed. He was like “okay I wasn’t talking about that building but folks if you care about that…”
I gave it 4 stars bc we did enjoy the walk and the area that we got to tour. I think we would have enjoyed it more with a different guide.
