I want to preface this review by saying that I have been on many (100+) tours all over the world, including at least 30 food tours and 30 segway tours.
My family agreed that this is one of the BEST tours we have EVER taken. It's fun because it's such a nice variety (some segway tours are just constant cruising from site to site), but this was a combination of fun riding, beautiful scenery, food (amazing picnic lunch), an awesome tour of the Vella cheese factory--which is so yummy and reasonably priced that we brought several chunks home), and wine (the two wineries were really fun, both among the oldest in California).
It's also EXTREMELY informative. Our guide, Hunt (who owns the company), was so incredibly smart, charming, and full of helpful info!! I'm a professor, and I'm super picky about the quality of tour guides, and I would give Hunt an A+. I've been on many different wine/winery tours, and I learned more from Hunt about wine and vineyards last Saturday than I did from all of my previous wine tours combined. (When we mentioned a few interesting tidbits to another tour guide the next day, they hadn't heard of those same facts, and seemed skeptical. Well, I later researched everything Hunt told us and it turns out that he was 100% accurate :).
I highly recommend that you take this tour your first day of Sonoma, so you get a sense of the layout of the area, the history (he explained all about the recent fires and how they were stopped), and tips for good restaurants to go to. This tour will entertain everyone, whether you are 12 or 65! We all agreed that this was such a great value for all we got (we were lucky to be the only 4 customers that day, so we had a "private" tour; he was also not rushed at all and was clearly improving and taking us to extra spots. It's clear that he is so passionate about what the does!). Hunt felt like part of our family (we asked him so many questions, not just about Sonoma and wine, but also about his own life and family) and we truly treasured our day in Sonoma with him!!!
