My friend and I (24, 23) chose these guys after a LOT of research and MANY phone calls and emails. I was looking for (and found with Sonoma Adventures): smaller and locally run, as opposed to big and commercial; options to customize paths and wineries; dietary accommodations, namely gluten free/dairy free; a guide that was knowledgeable about wine and about bike paths and had an awareness for safety.
We chose the bike tour through Sonoma with Hunt and it was easily the best part of our California visit.
PROS
-SMALL GROUP, GOOD GUIDE It was just me and my friend and Hunt - so easy, so fun, and Hunt was great: informative, entertaining, didn't ridicule me for falling off the bike at every stop (because I am uncoordinated, not because it was difficult), never hovered or pushed any place or any thing, offered us insight and say so at every turn. Everywhere we went someone recognized him --we even passed his family once, which was awesome--, and he got us into a lot of places we normally wouldn't be allowed. He knows the entire area well.
-CUSTOMIZABLE LUNCH
-BEAUTIFUL SCENERY
-EASY BIKING with more difficult options available along the way. We choose a couple hills for fun.
-PICTURES We got some good ones, of the place and of us, thanks to Hunt.
-WINE I shipped a case home and we took some to go.
-IN GENERAL, such a good way to do wine tasting and be active and get out there. I love the outdoors and the weather was perfect in March. Bring a jacket that you can take off.
CONS
-Genuinely would not have changed a thing. I thought I would be exhausted and dying in the end but not even close. I was SORE though, the next day, so be aware of that. And bruised from running into my own bike.
Thanks again for having us!
