I recently took a girl's trip to Sonoma and we decided to start our stay with the Segway tour. We met Hunt, the owner, and within 5 minutes we were all zipping around like pros. Hunt is extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality, we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We started at some historic sites around town and then headed off to the wineries. Every place that we went we were greeted warmly and we received tasting discounts because we were with the Segway tour. Seeing the countryside on the Segway was so enjoyable. Instead of zipping by the vines in a car, we were able to really enjoy the scenery and get up close and personal. We visited two wineries and ended our day at the Vella Cheese Factory, a highlight of the day. Hunt took us on a tour of the factory and then we were treated to some amazing cheeses. We were sad to end the tour, and would recommend the experience to anyone looking for something a little different while in Sonoma.

Did the Sonoma Segway tour during a recent trip to wine country with friends, we are still talking about how much fun this was! It's not hard to learn how, and it is soooo much fun! Gerardo was our guide, he was very informative and also really nice. We got a historical tour, went to a winery, and got a tour of the local cheese factory (yum). It was such a blast, we didn't want to stop riding. You will love this, I guarantee it!!

The charming town of Sonoma, just an hour north of San Francisco, is a delightful stop on the way to Napa Valley. Tree lined streets, an old tyme theatre, and a central courthouse give the feeling of life in the early 1900's. There is the usual bustle of hurried lives but a lovely rose garden to remind you to take the time to enjoy life. On this early Fall afternoon, many were resting under the trees with a good book or a good friend. We decided to do the Sonoma Segway tour of local wineries and a cheese factory. Our guide was excellent in getting us comfortable on our unique means of transport. We were all quickly in line like baby ducks following Dad to see the historic homes on bike trails that follow the old railroad tracks. Then, a little more rural trip took us to Buena Vista winery, the longest operating "vino" establishment in the valley. We capped our tour with a tasty visit to Vella Cheese factory where we had a lesson in cheese making and some delicious samples. Wishing to prolong our stay, we wandered the shops around the town square and eventually drove on with a trunk full of treasures.
