Gale was so much fun! A great teacher (my first time on a Segway). She was knowledgeable, patient and very accommodating! The winery was beautiful! Lunch was delicious! Take this your! You will be happy you did!! Great day!

The winery we visited was great! However, our guide seemed under the weather and was not very professional or didn’t come off like he was really into his job! Other guides point to pot holes or bumps but he did neither! Also we had a celiac averse person in our group and had been asked by Viator about food restrictions, i mentioned this but somehow they didn’t get this message and our girl could only eat the middle of her sandwich! We also had to hunt the guy down to get our lunch as he never checked on us after he dropped us at the winery!

Hi Cynthia, I are so sorry I missed the gluten free part. When you put your sandwich order in you didn't mention it, I did find it on the form from Viator and will be sure to double check in the future. Yes- we had a very wet year and lots of blooms now- so allergy season is upon us and unfortunately affecting a lot of people. Your guide being one of them. I will speak to the guide about pointing out bumps and holes in the road.

I was looking for something different from a typical wine tasting and found it at Sonoma Segway tours. This was the perfect outing for my husband and me (60’s) and our adult children (late 20’s). Making our reservation was a bit bumpy since Gale had just added this location to her Napa company, but it all worked out well. She was very easy to work with and has 14 years’ experience with Segways putting my mind at ease. We arrived on time at the location we were given—the end of a quiet street with a large parking lot. Gale and her assistant got us set up and taught us how to start, stop, and turn. Then we got to practice in the parking lot. She made sure that all of us were confident before heading out. Most of the route was on side streets or those with little traffic. On the way to the first winery, we made a couple of stops where Gale explained Sonoma history and a bit about how wine is made. She knew the perfect spots for great photos. Our first tasting was at Buena Vista, the oldest winery in Sonoma, very picturesque. Gale left us while she got our excellent box lunches, which we enjoyed after the tasting. You don’t drink enough wine in a tasting to get tipsy, and all of us navigated our Segways just fine to Sebastiani, our next winery. Our sommelier greeted us with a glass of wine and led us through his choice of selections, not on the regular tasting menu. We enjoyed them all, especially at the group rate that he gave us (tasting costs per person are not included in the tour price). Our last stop was a cheese tasting that was so good we all bought some. The next day we saw some folks who biked to a winery looking hot and late for their tasting time. The Segway tour allowed us to see the Sonoma countryside close up without any effort and ensured a great wine tasting experience. Do it if you can!
