Board our Custom Jeep Gladiator and head ten minutes North into Tonto National Forest for off-road slow-crawl through Rackensack Canyon. Your expert desert guide will identify unique plants of the rugged Upper Sonoran Desert along with discussion of the Canyon's Ancient Indian Ruins.

You then climb 900 vertical feet over 1.5 miles into Chaparral Vegetation zone with breathtaking views at 4500 foot elevation summit. The short ride to the top can be a bit dusty & bouncy but is also exhilarating fun with entertaining narration and educational photo stops along trail.

At the Rammed Earth, Mountain Top Studio you will enjoy complimentary snacks with free time to relax on patio while taking in jaw dropping vistas or try your hand at Steer Head Roping, Cornhole and Horseshoes before return trip to Civilization.

Our private Road Easement in Tonto National Forest is connected to North Scottsdale/Carefree, Arizona. The trailhead is located 15 minutes northeast of our pickup location from the Sundial in Carefree.

I’m new to the area and wanted a fun activity outing for my grandchildren and their parents visiting during Fall break. This was perfect for all of us and we learned a lot while enjoying a fun Jeep ride thru Tonto National Forest. David was friendly and humorous, quickly had the kids laughing and asking questions. We enjoyed the incredible views as we climbed to the top of our destination, and were excited to see 4 large mule deer, what a fun coincidence for us! We had a short stop to take pictures and David told us about many plants and animals native to this area and a brief history of the owners acquiring the property. All so interesting! He was very patient with the kids and their many questions too. Charles and Ginger greeted us as though we were their family, couldn’t have been more welcoming and eager to show us their dream property & visitors studio. With wonderful refreshments ready for us too! The kids loved looking at all the beautiful colorful rocks and they made for fun souvenirs. It was chilly and hot chocolate made their morning even more special. Kai said it was a favorite thing we did together on their visit. My parents are visiting next month and I want to take them for the sunset trip!
