Masonboro Island Reserve

The coastal waters surrounding the Blockade Runner are beautiful any time of day, but nothing compares to the views at sunset. Hop aboard the Carolina Runner and join us for a relaxing and scenic 1.5 hour cruise where you have a front row seat to the best views of Wrightsville Beach. Don’t be surprised if your captain spots dolphins, turtles, seabirds and other marine life. We will position the boat at Masonboro inlet and get great sunset pictures of this pristine untouched barrier island that is over 8 miles long and only accessible by boat before returning to the docks.

The sunset was beautiful sand Matt’s knowledge of the area was shared without being overbearing, however our 2 1/2 hour ride didn’t even last for an hour and a half.

We were a bit underwhelmed by this cruise. The crew of two were very friendly, no issue. We went a short distance on the intercostal to see a marina and restaurants in Wilmington and then turned around. We did then go to a very pretty spot and were lucky enough to have a spectacular sunset. We were disappointed in the lack of variety of drinks offered… bottled water, Corona and White Claw seltzer. I would have been happy to pay extra for a better selection of drinks.

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. I traveled with my husband and my parents. Everyone loved it! Highly recommend.
