I would do this again in a heartbeat but only with this company. I was so scared at first but after the safety briefing I felt a little better. Then we got to the open water and I saw a huge shark in the water and I almost chickened out but I'm SO GLAD I didn't!! I found my bearings and was the first one in the water (after our safety instructor of course)!! These guys watch everything, constantly, they know what they're doing and they're in constant communication with each other! They knew I was pretty scared (even though there's no reason to be) so when a shark came close he would literally put himself in between the shark and myself to ease my fears!! I cannot say enough good things about this crew, the knowledge, the respect, the experience is unparalleled!! I already had so much respect for this misunderstood species and that just grew even more!! I'm just in awe of the mellow tempered sharks and the amazing staff we had along the way!! I cannot wait to come back and snorkel with them again!! Mahalo for such an amazing experience!!

My wife, my 10 year old son, and myself did the cage free shark swim. Well originally, my wife and son were just going to be riders and I was going to be the only swimmer. This was one of the very best excursions I have ever done! The team on board were great! Kuhuku (May have misspelled his name), was our safety diver and the one to watch out for us in the water. The second crew member (Kai’ae maybe - not sure on spelling) took photos and did an excellent job getting the swimmers in the picture with the sharks. While I was in the water, the captain (didn’t catch his name, but the father to the photographer Kai’ae, was great to my wife and son and encouraged my son to jump in. He must have done a good job because my wife went from a hard no when I tried to allowing my son in with the captain. That is a testament to how safe they make everyone feel. Personally I wasn’t nervous at all going in, but was a little tentative about having my 10 year old in with me. Kai’ae did an amazing job escorting my son around and helping to point out where the sharks were. Made my son’s whole trip! I can’t recommend Islandview enough! Great family owned business, and they treat you that same way! Mahalo guys!

This was one of the most amazing experiences ever! The guides were very thorough and informative in the instructions and the dive itself was awesome! I never felt nervous or afraid, the sharks were more attracted to my Go Pro camera than the humans. As long as you remain calm, the sharks will simply swim w/ you.
