Wow this charter was AWESOME! Urban fishing at its best. At one point a six foot tarpon burst out of the water on my husband’s line. Super fishing- Captain Dennis is very enthusiastic about big tarpon, and his excitement is contagious. After charter fishing halibut, salmon, marlin, etc., this was our favorite. We can’t wait to do it again!

Dennis did a great job. Before leaving the dock he covered safety equipment and plans. Then he took us out before sunset casting for barracuda, snook, jacks, etc. My 9-yr old son was along, who loves to fish. Dennis did an excellent job talking to him patiently and explaining just what to do. We got a nice jack near the jetty, then moved to tarpon fishing. During the trip we moved around a bit and were able to hook 2 HUGE tarpon - both over 100 lbs, and one well over. We weren’t able to land either, which is common with big tarpon, but seeing and feeling the power of those fish was worth it. Overall, Dennis is a great guy who loves to fish and it shows. He is calm, patient and does a great job explaining everything every step of the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with Flat Bottom again!

What fun! Captain Dennis was personable, informative and a great teacher. Truly a highlight to our vacation in Ft. Lauderdale.
