Raised in an Italian family, I was skeptical about the tour, but our evening (couple's date night) exceeded our expectations, thanks in large part to Anthony. Enthusiastic and personable, his passion for the area, history, and Italian food was genuine, and he went out of his way to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included. For Italians, food is more than just eating, it's a shared experience and can be an expression of love. Anthony understands that, and in true Italian fashion, a relatively slow-paced evening with three "dinner" stops and two "dessert" stops allowed us to savor excellent food (and a glass or three of wine) without feeling rushed. We got our money's worth with a variety of foods, including pasta, Neopolitan pizza, and pastries, just to name a few. Anthony's stories and insight are fun, too! Our evening lasted 4+ hours, and no one was complaining. We walked away convinced Little Italy is one of San Diego's underrated gems. Hope to return soon, and definitely recommend Anthony's tour.
