Tasty Global Bites is a walking food tour of Nolita (North of Little Italy). This tour is offered for foodies (visitors and locals alike) looking to try global cuisine. On this 3 hour tour you will enjoy 6 amazing tastings, 3 seated and 3 on-the-go as your knowledgeable tour guide entertains you with exciting stories and secrets of the area's past and the ever changing food scene.

The six tastings feature a Spanish churro sandwich, NYC pizza with a twist, falafel, mouthwatering fresh Sicilian pasta, Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) and a scrumptious dessert, gelato. Some tastings are on-the-go as we aim to see as much as possible of the neighborhoods in 3 hours’ time. Wine is offered to guests 21 and older at the seated pasta tasting.

Discover a scrumptious NYC neighborhood, Nolita (north of Little Italy) on this three-hour food and walking tour. You will begin your tour at a popular churrerira. Your friendly guide will provide you with an in-depth introduction to the neighborhood and an overview of the tour while you enjoy a fresh hot churro breakfast sandwich. From there, you will explore Nolita, visit historical landmarks and continue your culinary journey. You will taste Israeli falafel, a classic spin on NYC pizza, fresh homemade Sicilian pasta (with an option to enjoy a glass of wine), authentic gelato and Japanese rice balls (onigiri). This tour is ideal for those looking to taste a variety of cuisine all within three hours’ time. Finally, each participant is provided with a helpful handout at the beginning of the tour which includes a list of all the tastings and recommendations.

I've been on Ahoy's other tour, the Chinatown/Little Italy Food Fest, which I loved and would definitely do again, but this past weekend, I went on their new tour, the Taste of Mulberry Street, and I have to say that I was not disappointed! There were two tour guides, Alana and Liz, and they made an amazing team. They were both enthusiastic and passionate about sharing their knowledge, and made each of us feel comfortable and at ease. Ahoy limits their tours to 12-14 people which made for a very personal experience instead of some of the other tours were you're fighting with many other individuals to get a good spot to be able to see and hear the guide. The tastings were very generous (an actual slice of pizza, an entire plate of pasta at a sit down restaurant (with wine if you chose that option), to name just a few); I can honestly say that I was stuffed at the conclusion of the tour. I also enjoyed the sit down at the cheese shop where we tasted three different cheeses and got a little lesson on each and the areas of France where they originated. The Ahoy guides have great working relationships with the staff at the various food establishments and were given top priority. The history portions of the tour got into "gritty New York" and discussed old mob hangouts, prisons, and other interesting facts about the area. This tour has it all, history for the history buff, awesome food for the foodie, and to top it off, Alana and Liz are not only knowledgeable but seriously funny! I would definitely recommend this tour to all: locals, tourists, etc.

I've lived in TriBeCa for several years now, and haven't experienced a food tour here like this. Absolutely loved the Taste of Mulberry Street Food Tour! Super well organized, we did not have to wait in line anywhere! They even closed one of the shops to the public while we were there to give us a more personal experience. Alana and Liz were fantastic and super knowledgable. They were dynamic, and not your typical drone on-and-on tour guide. Exceptional history knowledge of the neighborhood, and interesting true stories of the colorful New York historical characters that once lived there. The food was the highlight of course! So delicious and great size portions. Also, I loved that there was a good mix of food from different parts of Europe and Asia. Even just one of the multiple stops on the tour (the full Italian sit down meal), was worth most of the price of the tour alone. I learned a lot I didn't already know on the french cheese tasting and class. So delicious. Great value and they really cater to foodies. I also don't eat pork, and they did a great job of accommodating my dietary restrictions. Come hungry!

Went on the Taste of Mulberry Street food tour and it was a lot of fun! The tour explores three neighborhoods, Nolita, Little Italy and Chinatown. There was a lot of food throughout the tour and there were a great assortment of tastings. Got to sample the Spanish, French, Italian, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines. All the tastings were amazing and three really stood out. The Spanish churro, the French cheese tasting and the Chinese egg waffle sundae. But I also loved the pasta and vodka pizza tasting. Don't ask me to pick a favorite, I still can't decide! The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They introduced us to many shops and restaurants that we would have otherwise overlooked. They also told us some fascinating stories about the history of Mulberry Street. All in all, had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.
