Helicopter ride its self was reasonable and fairly priced ..
what was a complete a nightmare at time of booking when exploring transfer from New York to New Jersey were you have to get , the transfer was quoting on line was as much as we had paid for the helicopter ride.
So we embarked on travelling independently from New York to New Jersey ( Don't do it .. was very stressful as the environment , area was very stressful with many drug addicts around .. was very unsafe and we tried to blend into the background) the train is only 2 stops , the bus that actual takes you there is only every hr as there are five different number 1 buses.. you have to pay with change and the bus driver sets off without you having it ,leaving you to ask others for change on the bus..
when we finally arrived at the destination .. 12,30 early as flight time 2pm with a definitive 1.30pm book in or classed as no show .. is when it went down hill..
we was informed that we had booked via a 3rd party company and they used there check in facility's ... lots people kept coming and leaving and we kept asking ... this went on until 3pm ... so very disappointing and very frustrating ..
everyone else was called leaving me and my daughter just sat there .. again I had to approach to find out .. our group had been called but not our names .. we thought oh finally .. to be taken in a mini bus across the road .. to wait another 30 minutes ..
we finally flew 3.30pm my daughter enjoyed it was the main thing ,however it just spoilt the entire day, wasted for a 20 minute experience.
No refreshments or anything provided , a vending machine available if you wanted to purchase.
the only saving grace they had a Currier /transfer service at 15.00 dollars per head each way ..
it dropped us off at the very beginning of New York so an hrs walk back to Times Square .. as Hop on /of bus had just finished being 5pm .. so was out from 9.30 am - 6pm by time we got back for 20 minutes thrill ..
I have done many helicopter rides all over the world .. this was the worst for organisation the amount of staff around receiving wages was ridiculous .. one shouted your name took you to briefing room , another to walk you to door for minibus , another for the mini bus ,yet another when you got out, and another to show you to helicopter
WOW ... how many staff to be inefficient .. sorry but its the truth .. and completely over shadowed the helicopter ride and the pilot who was lovely making sure both sides got chance for pictures ..
