We were in Orlando for 5 days and we did 3 escape rooms at The Escape Game.
Set Design: 4/5; despite having done 3 rooms, all of very different themes, the set design was consistently done well. The less high-tech rooms still had a lot to offer.
Puzzle Creativity: 5/5; original puzzles with solutions that made sense. Some puzzles, for the sake of being difficult, require solutions that are unreasonable-- that was rarely the case for the rooms at The Escape Game. There was a good mix between puzzles that were hard because you needed to figure out the steps to solve them (eg. slipper sizes), puzzles that were hard because it required lots of steps to solve (eg. map), and puzzles that required physical ingenuity (eg. cane).
Storyline: 3/5; the storylines for the rooms we did were pretty standard stories. The puzzles all fit well into the events and nothing felt like it was a stretch.
The game masters deserve some praise. All 3 game masters that we had were attentive and responded quickly to our requests for hints. They paid attention to where we were in the game and were able to provide help promptly. It's especially appreciated when they provide a small nudge in the right direction-- not because the group was truly stuck on any particular challenge, but more because we were bad at looking at things. We frequently spoke aloud what we were expecting to find in order to solve the next challenge but would fail to identify the item, despite it typically not being hidden (eg. "we need puzzle pieces to complete the image so that we can decode the lock combination," the puzzle pieces were stacked at eye level). Our game master followed along well enough to be able to remind us, at the relevant moments, to search properly.
