On this trip we paddle the shoreline of Resurrection Bay, where encounters with sea otters, sea birds, bald eagles and leaping salmon are common. Our day will include a paddle along the coastline and walking through a temperate rain forest. We’ll explore Tonsina Point with its ghost forest, late season salmon stream and beautiful mountain views from its beach. Enjoy a picnic lunch and possibly a visit to a waterfall.

Ashley was an amazing guide — made sure we were safe on the journey but had soo much fun —incredibly knowledgeable about local history, geology, wildlife and berry picking—enthusiastic — recommend to any and all!!

Lola is the best guide Seward's ever seen. Period. She was knowledgeable about the area, and funny. Ask her about whistle grass on the trip!

We had the most AMAZING time kayaking with Sunny Cove on July 19. My husband’s sister’s family came up to visit, and this was everyone’s favorite activity of the whole week they were in Alaska. We chose the Tonsina kayak and rainforest hike. We kayaked, hiked, kayaked some more, hiked some more, then kayaked back to Lowell Point. Such a wonderful way to break up the day and enjoy the beauty the water and the land had to offer. Our guide Ashley was wonderful and knowledgeable. Would do this again in a heartbeat!
