Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts
The meet up location to start the tour will be the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, it is on the edge the city so it makes a great starting and ending place. This building is a great example of Greek and Roman architecture revival and is where the symphony and off Broadway acts preform. I will also go over my introduction to the tour before this stop.
2
City of Raleigh Museum
The next part of the tour takes us down historic Fayetteville St. Home of some of the oldest buildings in all of Raleigh, like the Briggs Hardware Building, Now the Raleigh City Museum. I will illuminate the importance this street has had on the rejuvenation of the city. 9.3 million dollars was spent on these 4 blocks and it was worth it!
3
CAM Raleigh
Cam(Contemporary Art Museum) will be one of many stops in the this part of the tour in Raleigh's hip Warehouse District. Red Brick industrial buildings have been converted to loft apartments, galleries and breweries making it one of the fastest growing areas in the city.
4
City Market
City Market is a major attraction located in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Tourists and locals enjoy the open-air shopping and dining options that line the beautiful cobblestone streets. The newly renovated Moore Square Park, recently updated after a 2 year project will also be a part of this portion of the tour. Get an insight to Raleigh's culture while you join the locals at one of their favorite spots to gather.

A great experience that I highly recommend! Chris (rickshaw driver) was friendly, knowledgeable, and a safe cyclist. He also made sure I was comfortable and prompted photo ops during the tour. Learned a lot and had fun!
