This was great. We rented the Trolley Pub for a Saturday night bachelorette party. It was pricey at about $395 total (check out the website for prices + tax). Had we a full 14 women pedaling, it wouldn't have been so much per person, but with only 10 paying (we chipped in for the bride, of course!) it was a higher per person price than just going individually.
We had to supply our own beer which was a bummer. Some of the bars we stopped at offered drink specials (check the trolley pub website for a list). That was a nice bonus, but I think more places should be added to that list.
We didn't have much time to stop at each bar, so most drinks had to be chugged. I would recommend only going to 2 bars instead of the maximum available of 3 just so you have more time at each place.
Pedaling was NOT as hard as I thought it would be. We had 11 women, and actually only 10 pedaling spots, so we moved pretty well. It was a hot night - I suggest bringing water as well as beer! And definitely bring snacks. You won't have enough time at each place to order food so all that beer and activity could easily hit you.
We had a beautiful last stop at the Memorial Union just in time to view the sunset, but again had to be super fast with our drinks and those lines on a Saturday summer night were long!
I don't recommend the helmet, but I wore the seatbelt and was just fine. Depends on how tippy a person you are :)
Overall - definitely fun with a group, or a great way to mix with more people. Don't forget snacks and water, and be prepared to chug your drinks. Keep it to 2 locations for more time at the bars. Pedaling wasn't so bad, and it's super fun to wave to people passing by and give everyone high-fives!
