Even a turquoise expert is likely to learn quite a bit here. For someone less knowledgeable, it's almost too much. But it is fascinating, and all the turquoise on display, from sites all over the world, is captivating. The mansion can be a little difficult to navigate, and the museum's map appears not to match up precisely, but it's all compact enough to figure out after a while. One thing they need to clarify (or better yet, revise), however, is their policy of deeming ANY SLR or camera with an interchangeable lens a "professional" camera which requires a professional permit, which is quite expensive. Most DSLRs on the market are NOT professional cameras, and their owners are NOT professional photographers.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Turquoise is a huge subject and it can be a little overwhelming sometimes, Hopefully the displays made it understandable. I'm sorry our photo policy can be frustrating sometimes. Basically, cell phones and similar mobile devices are relatively unregulated, but any handheld camera (film, digital, and even those throw away wind up cameras) have to be permitted, I'm not sure what the terms SLR or DSLR mean, sorry. Sorry again for any confusion.
