You will NOT regret taking this tour! My daughter was able to put a check mark on her bucket list swimming with Hawaiian Green Turtles.

One of the instructors was notably unprofessional, frequently yelling at guests. This behavior created an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere, detracting from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Moreover, hygiene standards were concerningly low. The snorkeling equipment appeared to be unclean, with no apparent effort made to sanitize the masks and snorkels before distributing them to guests. This lack of cleanliness not only posed health risks but also left a negative impression regarding the overall maintenance and care provided by the tour operators. In summary, while the natural beauty of Hawai'i's waters is undeniable, the subpar customer service and poor hygiene on this particular snorkeling tour were disappointing and need significant improvement. I hope the management takes these issues seriously to enhance the experience for future guests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had on our snorkeling tour. Your comments are important to us, and we are committed to addressing the issues you raised. I did speak to the captain and the guide about your experience. While our guides do focus on customer service, their number one priority and responsibility is for your safety. We apologize if the information about where you can safely snorkel was unclear to you but you do have to stay in the group with your guide when you are in the water. You cannot swim away on your own. And as you experienced, we do have 2 guides in the water with surfboards so that they can rescue and assist guests in the water as your guide did with you to get you back to the boat. We can always improve and we will strive to put our best foot forward by taking your experience seriously and making sure all our crew members are safe and fun snorkel guides. This tour is meant to be relaxing and enjoyable and we do our best to give every customer the most wonderful tour we can. In regards to sanitation. You may have not noticed the sanitation as we sanitize all the equipment thoroughly after the equipment is used and then hang it up to dry for the following tour. There is a large bin of sanitation solution that all equipment is soaked in after it is used and then it is hung up to dry before being used by guests on the next tour. We can communicate our methods better so that future guests do not have to question the cleanliness of the equipment they are using. But we do pride ourselves on the condition of our equipment and of our boats. Both of our vessels are brand new and very well maintained and we replace our snorkel equipment often. There has never been an issue with sanitation at Living Ocean. Aloha
