Booked through the Go City Explorer Pass for July 4th to go cycling in Central Park. The customer service was the worst we found anywhere in NYC. The man handing out the bikes on the street was so rude & swore in front of the customers including kids because people weren’t moving away fast enough. We barely had time to organise ourselves after collecting our bikes & wasn’t just us. Same when we returned the bikes, the same guy snatched the bike off my son. I get that it was a busy day for the staff but it’s no excuse. I wouldn’t go near the place again.

Overall the experience went well. Well organized to take the bikes. Good quality bikes even if we received them with the chain that came off, the saddles that were loose, etc. But it is okay. On the other hand, no explanation on the time system included in the rental. We based ourselves on the receipt and they on the scanned QRcode of the bikes. We would not have had a problem if we had been informed. As this was not the case we went a little over the planned rental time and had to pay a very large supplement. Very complicated to discuss with staff and customer service. We were finally offered 1 hour free next time, which we refused because we have lost confidence in this company.

Our guide was called Dan. He led us through Central Park on our bikes and gave a very thorough and detailed explanation of the places we stopped at. He played music from a speaker that (loosely) appealed to the different nationalities of everyone on the tour. He was fun and friendly and happy to engage in friendly banter with the group. We really enjoyed it
