  • Participants must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately two miles through rocky, muddy and slippery terrain
  • Must wear shoes that are secure to your feet. No flip flops.
  • Please bring plenty of water.
  • Other recommended items to bring: swimsuits, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, snacks, and a towel.
  • Ziploc bags should be used for cell phones or cameras that are not waterproof
  • No alcohol
  • Age restriction is 13-59
  • Not recommended for travelers with recent knee, ankle or back injuries

Brian our tour guide is absolutely amazing and we had such a great time. He was funny and provided us with knowledge about the entire tour. Guys, he is also the male version of Snow White!! He is friends with all the animals there (:

Great tour led by our interesting guide Rob. I had never kayaked before, but kayaking on the Wailea River was easy. The hike with Rob sharing his knowledge of Hawaiian ecosystems and plant was really enlightening. The hike through the woods was definitely an adventure with our introduction to Kauai’s red mud. The water falls were beautiful and definitely worth the trek. Thanks Rob, for leading us on this great adventure.

I booked this trip ahead of time before leaving the mainland. The instructions on how to verify the booking was a bit sketchy so I called but didn't get a response. I emailed and didn't get a response, so when I arrived on the island I called again and did get my confirmation. I sure hope that they tighten that process up a bit for us type A's. I'm so glad that we arranged to go, this was a good adventure to connect us with the water, earth and sunshine. I got the earliest time, which I would recommend because of how popular this adventure is. Bring a lunch and drinking water and snack, wear hiking sandals that can get wet so you can get into the waterfall pool. dress light, something that you can hike and swim in. There are roosters everywhere on this island and they are there at the falls as well! But they don't bother the people. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun on this trip, he gave a mini lesson for those who were first time on a kayak. This a nice break from the tourist shopping scene and gets you into the island native feel, I would recommend this adventure for all ages.
