Following Hawaiian Marine Park laws of stopping at least 100 yards (90 meters) away from these magnificent animals, you get a close up look at the migrating humpback whales. It is not uncommon for them to be curious about the raft and come right under the boat!

I didn't know exactly what rafting meant in this case. Until I saw the boat. It was a lá military style - no catamaran, no yacht - rafting! These are the only boats that can go this far into the ocean, which is four miles. Captain Rick was very professional, very experienced and certainly led us through the waves. The humpback whales were there!!! But you have to know what you are looking for when you first do whale watching. It was unforgettable!!!!
