We took 33 employees and their families rafting down the Animas River. The water was high and running fast but all the guides knew the best route for us to take for all ages. We had rapids, cold water and a lot of fun.

This was a first for all our kids. Our kids are ages 9-13. We had so much fun! Mild to Wild Rafting took great care of us giving us space from a large tour group rafting at the same time. Our guide, Richard, was excellent at his craft and kept our kids excited and laughing the whole trip. Our kids are begging to do a more challenging trip after having so much fun on this one! Also the photo package is well worth the extra $! That way we had no need to take a waterproof camera to mess with. We could enjoy our trip and leave the photos to the professionals.

Our family has rafted many times over the years, but this year was a bit scared as we heard about the high water & multiple drownings in the news. We wanted to respect the river and be with the company we use every year. They were very careful about only opening up reservations this year after a careful assessment and changed the route to minimize the risk. Mike’s experience was the only thing that was capable of changing anxious nerves into smiles. My 7-year old laughed the whole time and felt safe. She was even able to try paddling during calm stretches and sit in the “captains chair” while we were stopped. We believe that even the slightest positive influence has the potential to change a child’s life. #greattimewithmike
