We took the short 1 hour trip down the river. Our guide Ben M. was very knowledgeable and had pointed out many things along the river as well as some tips for being a good visitor on the trails. We got to see a mule deer in the river which was really cool. The class 3 rapids towards the end were a very fun ride even though the river was at a relatively low flow. We did get wet, but on a warm day that's part of the fun. The next time I would go for the 2 hour trip on the water.

My family had a blast taking the economy rafting trip on the Animas River. Tyler, our guide gave an awesome tour and guided us with ease. Our 5-year-old had the time of her life going through the rapids. I would highly suggest this trip for anyone on a budget or those that have never experienced rafting before. My children had their first taste of rafting and now want to go back and experience a more challenging ride and experience more adrenaline rushes. Thanks, Mild to Wild for a GREAT time!

Our guide Luke and the entire 1/2 day trip were absolutely fantastic. This was the first rafting adventure for anyone in our family. My wife and I, along with our 5 kids (ages 14 to 4), had a wonderful first taste of rafting and cannot wait to do it again. Our guide, Luke, was first class. He was patient, friendly, and made us feel 100% at home and comfortable. He was mindful of our safety, but also at ease with a raft full of rookies. Every one of us had an excellent first taste of rafting and was ready for more when it was over. We had a great conversation as we explored the Animas River and Luke made sure we were able to make the most of our time on the water. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Mild to Wild and would request Luke for any length adventure. The entire staff was friendly, flexible, and took care of our every need and question without hesitation.
