Our family came to Durango this summer specifically to take my dad (Pa) rafting for his 77th birthday. Not only was rafting the Animas River with Mild to Wild an amazing adventure, our rafting guide, Sam, was simply incredible and part of the family by the end of the trip, calling my dad, Pa, and taking great care of him (and all of us for that matter). Sam was very knowledgeable about the river as well as the history of Durango (although we did all fall for the marmot tunnel bit). The entire team, (Abby, Hannah, Derek, Shawn, and bus driver John) were spectacular (bad jokes and all). If you want a true family outing you will remember forever, do not hesitate to book a rafting Trip with Mild to Wild. Pay the little extra for the premium boat so that your entire group can enjoy the experience together in one raft. Awesome wet and wild rafting experience with my family, two bored teenage girls were all yelling and had a great time. Miles, our guide was awesome and has 6 years experience rafting with Mild 2 Wild. Led us to paddle down and caught a lot of splash and the surf experience was a lot of fun! Definitely coming back to Durango for some more rafting. Will try the Jeep Train Combo next time. Thanks for the lovely time down Lower Animas River, We highly recommend the Premium raft (just 5 people including the guide) and the half day to a whole day. Our rafting trip was amazing. 1st time for our family and kids were not sure if they wanted to go (and they are teenagers) Cameron our guide was awesome. Explained and went over everything we needed to know. 1/2 day trip was not enough for us, next time we are in Durango will defiantly do the full day and hope that we get Cameron again. A must do for everyone of all ages
