My family and I loved our time in Durango last June and Mild to Wild made it even better. We enjoyed the rivers and trails package, where we loved rafting the Animas and were blown away by the rocky ridgelines of the beautiful San Juan Mountains. Mild to Wild was professional, knowledgeable and really fun with our group. We're excited to visit Durango again this summer and try out the rivers, rails, trails and mesas package!

Our family reunion booked a rafting trip. We had two rafts complete the half day and one raft do the 2 hour rafting trip. Other than the price they are the exact same trip with the exception of stopping for a "snack" (water, apples, oranges and granola bars) and the size of the raft. This is very mild white water...maybe two class 3 rapids. The guides were very excited due to the rain the night before making the river higher. I can't imagine our rafting without that extra rain! If you are an experienced rafter do the Upper Animas. The lower is perfect for all ages! Sterling was our guide and he did a good job! Very knowledgable about rafting and Durango.

Thanks for choosing Mild to Wild Rafting for your family reunion raft trip. We do offer mild trips on the Lower Animas River, intermediate trips on the Upper Piedra and San Miguel River and high adventure on the Lower Piedra and Upper Animas Rivers. The half day trip is a bit longer on the river than the economy trip. Depending on the river flow, we often put in at the same place, but the 1/2 day continutes on down further. We are glad you enjoyed Sterling your guide. Thanks again! We hope you have many special memories from your family reunion.

Our family visited Durango mid July and one of our planned adventures was rafting with Mild to Wild. We were slightly disappointed with the water level but our guide Sterling really made our trip fun despite the low water. He has a great personality for the work that he does! He was fun, quirky, informed about the area, passionate about what he does and made sure we were all safe (we had a six-year-old with us). Everone there seemed to be happy to work there and professional. What we weren't prepared for was Sterling's tip! They don't have the ability to give cash back for purchases so bring cash with you. We had to drive to a local bank and return for the tip. I told Sterling the guides really needed an ATM on site. They wholeheartedly agreed!! Anyway, we plan to raft the upper salt next spring with Mild to Wild and we will request Sterling! Fantastic!
