With a short trip to the area hijacked by rain almost for the entirety, we did not want to just sit inside a hotel or tourist shop as activities in a state as beautiful as Colorado! I was hesitant to raft bc I’m not a great swimmer and worry, particularly after doing a 1st time rafting trip in Wyoming and seeing multiple people including our parents fall into the water to their own surprise. We decided to try it anyway, since the idea of paying $$$ to sit in a hotel was worse than my fears. EMMA from Az was assigned as our lead/guide and was INCREDIBLE. With 3 very different people and interests- from a teen to a desk jockey- to please, the fact that we all loved our experience and all she informed and shared with us along the way says something. She addressed and monitored for all safety concerns, reinforced the specifics of what Mild to Wild does as well to ensure that (there were many positive things), and truly LOVES her job and the outdoors. We all learned so much, and having someone so genuinely in awe of nature/water and engaged with the moment made it one we will never forget.

It was a blast! Kyle was our guide and made it very fun and kept the conversation going and the rafting exciting. All the guides we encountered were very kind and sociable. It was our first time rafting but they all made us comfortable and feel at ease.
